My story of getting a Simca Six back on the road sixty years after it left the factory.
In October 1948, production of the overhead-valve SIMCA 6 began. Production of the Six ended in the summer of 1950 because of the competition with the Renault 4 CV which had four places and was sold for about 288 000 FR (€43.000) while the Simca 6 had only 2 places and costed 349 000 FR (€52.000).
It is estimated that of the 16.512 Simca Six produced, probably only less than 300 are still in running condition.
